Uses of Barcoding Systems Scanners and Printers

Barcode labels are the helping labels for both human and machine to identify or recognize a product. Price and product information can be simply stored in the lines of the barcode and so it can make selling products very much easier and takes very less time.

Barcode labels are also beneficial in tracking of items. Barcodes are used largely worldwide. Few reasons why manufacturers use bar coding to identify and track inventory, manufacturing work-in-process, and distribution are Speed, Accuracy, Consistency, and Economy.

  • Barcode systems provides set of benefits, including operational efficiency, better customer service, and clear visibility of key business information to management.
  • A bar code label of twelve characters can be scanned in approximately the time it takes a keyboard operator to make two keystrokes. With readers, barcode systems reach one error in every 3,000,000 characters, and with laser technology, they reach one error in 70 million entries.
  • Barcode labels will cost less than a penny for printing one barcode item, they are easily read by thousands of commonly available devices, and can be printed universally. Operators of bar code scanners can learn to use the device effectively in less than 15 minutes.

Barcode systems generate value not only by saving time, but also by preventing costly errors.

Authentication and Reputation Do Count

Many proposals have come up to allow acceptance of email from servers, which have been authenticated in some fashion as senders of legitimate email. Many of these systems use the DNS as do DNSBLs, but rather than using the list of nonconformant sites, the DNS is used to list sites authorized to send email and to determine the reputation of those sites.

E-mail "authentication" greatly simplifies and automates the process of identifying senders. After identifying and verifying that a claimed domain name has been authorized or has authenticated the sending Mail transfer agent (MTA), it is then possible to treat suspected forgeries with suspicion, reject known forgeries, and block e-mail from domains which emanate spam. It is also possible to "whitelist" e-mail from known reputable domains, and sidesteps content-based filtering, which always loses some valid e-mail in the deluge of spam.

Authenticated systems by themselves cannot detect spam, rather they trust that an authenticated site will never send spam and hence allows email from that site, thus bypassing the costly method of adopting filters to analyze the content of the messages sent from such sites.

Social Responses to Prevent Phishing

One strategy to combat phishing is to train people to recognize phishing attempts, and exposing them to the knowledge of how to deal with them. Education can be effective since training provides a direct feedback. Spear phishing, a form of phishing targeted at a specific company, has been harnessed to train individuals at various locations, including the United States Military Academy at West Point, NY. In a spear phishing experimented conducted at June 2004, 80% of 500 West Point cadets were tricked when a fake email was sent and revealed their personal information.

People must take steps to prevent themselves from phishing by slightly modifying their browsing habits and taking appropriate measures. When asked to reveal any personal and sensitive information such as the account details or any password, it is always a wise step to contact the company from which the email apparently originates to check that the email is legitimate. Alternatively, the address of the website which the user knows to be legitimate can be typed in the address bar rather than trusting any hyperlinks within the suspected message.

Nearly all websites contain information that is not available directly to the phishers. PayPal for example, always addresses the users by their user names and not by any generic names such as: “Dear PayPal Customer”. This can be used as a means of identifying whether the website is real or fake. Some financial institutions tend to use the account numbers of their customers as a way to authenticate the messages. But according to a recent research the customers typically do not distinguish between the first few digits and the last few digits of an account number which is a significant problem, since the first few digits are all same for most financial institutions. People's suspicion can be aroused if they do not find any specific personal information in their messages. However, phishing attempts in early 2006 included personal information, which makes it unsure to assume that if a message carries personal information then it is safe. Furthermore, according to recent research, people hardly pay attention to the fact that personal information is present and hence the presence of this personal information does not bring down the success rate of phishing attacks.

The Anti-Phishing Working Group predicts that the conventional phishing attacks would become obsolete in the future due to the awareness among the people against phishing. They predict that pharming and other forms of malware will become useful in stealing information.

It would be a courteous act for everyone to educate the people about safe practices and avoid dangerous ones. However, as a misfortune, even well known players are known to incite users to hazardous behavior for example, by requesting their users to reveal their passwords for third party services such as email.

Advantages of consumer digital cameras

The advantages of digital photography over traditional film include:
  • Instant review of pictures, with no wait for the film to be developed: if there's a problem with a picture, the photographer can immediately correct the problem and take another picture.
  • Only successful pictures need to be printed. This allows one to take numerous shots of the same scene with slightly different settings, and then choose the best one. This review and revise process is impossible with traditional film because such film requires time and equipment to develop.
  • Minimal ongoing costs for those wishing to capture hundreds of photographs for digital uses, such as computer storage and e-mailing, but not printing.
  • If one already owns a newer computer, permanent storage on digital media is considerably cheaper than film.
  • Images may be copied from one medium to another without any degradation.
  • Pictures do not need to be scanned before viewing them on a computer.
  • Ability to print your own pictures using a computer and consumer-grade printer.
  • Ability to print your own pictures using printers that can communicate directly with the camera, or its memory card, for computer-less printing.
  • Digital cameras can be much smaller than film cameras of equivalent quality. Ability to embed metadata within the image file, such as the time and date of the photograph, model of the camera, shutter speed, flash use, film speed, and other similar items, to aid in the reviewing and sorting of photographs. Film cameras have limited ability to handle metadata, though many film cameras can "imprint" a date over a picture by exposing the film to an internal LED array (or other device), which displays the date.
  • In camera electronics allow many features and effects, which would be impossible with film.
  • Ability to capture and store hundreds of photographs on the same media device within the digital camera; by contrast, a film camera would require regular changing of film (typically after every 24 or 36 shots).
  • Many digital cameras now include an AV-out function (and cable) to allow the reviewing of photographs to an audience using a television.
  • Digital photography enables you to experiment with the camera settings, different styles of images can be tried out, learnt from and techniques improved all without the expense of film processing.
  • Digital anti-shake tools allow taking sharp hand-held pictures where previously a tripod was required.
  • Editing and processing is easier and more available to consumers, often eliminating the need for a photo lab.
  • Ability to change ISO speed settings more conveniently in the middle of shooting, for example when the weather changes from bright sunlight to cloudy. In film photography, film must be unloaded and new film with desired ISO speed loaded.

Cosmetic treatment for cellulite

It is estimated that 80% of all women over the age of 20 have cellulite. This unsightly problem affects women of all ages, body types & ethnic backgrounds. A number of creams & over-the-counter treatments are available, but few have offered any real solutions.

The number of cosmetic treatments offered by medical professionals has increased over the past few years. Some treatment options are relatively new and the long-term results are still unproven. However, many have shown promise. Here is a brief rundown of the options commonly used by today's medical professionals.

Mesotherapy involves injecting microscopic quantities of natural plant extracts, homeopathic agents, pharmaceutical agents and vitamins directly into the problem areas. Mesotherapy can target specific areas or spots where your body stores excessive fat. It is a quick procedure that required little to no recovery time.

Endermologie is also a common technique used to combat cellulite. It involves a specially designed device that promotes deep, penetrating whole body massage with the use of suction and rollers to stimulate the breakdown of stored fat and increase the body’s circulation.

Newer treatments involving lasers & radio frequency are becoming more widely used. The TriActive LaserDermology machine utilizes a low-energy laser to combat cellulite. Velasmooth uses Bi-Polar Radio Frequency and Infrared Light in combination with suction to reduce the appearance of cellulite.

As you can see, the treatments available to combat cellulite are increasing. It is advised that you consult your local cosmetic specialist to find out more information.

Scientific Racism - Does it Exist?

The current biological definition of race developed in the 19th century with scientific racist theories. The word scientific racism refers to the use of faulty science to justify and carry a racist belief, which goes back to at least the early 18th century, though it gained most of its influence in the mid-19th century, throughout the New Imperialism period. Also known as academic racism, such theories first wanted to overcome the Church's confrontation to positivist’s accounts of history, and its support of monogenism, that is that all human beings were originate from the same ancestors, in agreement with creationist accounts of history. These racist theories put forth on scientific hypothesis were joint with unilineal theories of social progress which postulated the superiority of the European civilization over the rest of the world. Furthermore, they regularly made use of the idea of "survival of the fittest", a word coined by Herbert Spencer in 1864, related with ideas of competition which were named social Darwinism in the 1940s. Charles Darwin himself opposed the idea of rigid racial differences in The Descent of Man (1871) in which he argued that humans were all of one species, distribution common descent. He recognized racial differences as varieties of humanity, and emphasized the close similarities between people of all races in mental faculties, tastes, dispositions and habits, while still different the culture of the "lowest savages" with European civilization.

At the end of the 19th century, proponents of scientific racism entangled themselves with eugenics discourses of "degeneration of the race" and "blood heredity." Henceforth, scientific racist discourses could be defined as the combination of polygenism, unilinealism, social Darwinism and eugenism. They found their scientific legality on physical anthropology, anthropometry, craniometry, phrenology, physiognomy and others now discredited disciplines in order to formulate racist prejudices. Before being disqualified in the 20th century by the American school of cultural anthropology the British school of social anthropology, the French school of ethnology, as well as the discovery of the neo-Darwinian synthesis, such sciences, in particular anthropometry, were used to deduce behaviors and psychological characteristics from external, physical appearances. The neo-Darwinian fusion, first developed in the 1930s, eventually led to a gene-centered view of development in the 1960s, which seemed at first to be adequate proof of the ridiculousness of the "scientific racist" theories of the 19th centuries, which based their conception of evolution on "races", a concept which first appeared to lose any sense at the genetic level. However, the modern resurgence of racist theories, in particular those related to the race and intelligence argument, seems to show that genetics could also be used for ideological, racist purposes.

Know About Your Kid Walkers

According to the American Medical Association and the American Academy of Pediatrics, in US each year more than 25,000 child injuries cases happens due to the walkers and also they call for a ban on the manufacture and sale of mobile baby walkers. Researchers at Ohio State University College of Medicine reported that infants in walkers received injuries such as contusions and abrasions, concussions and head injuries, lacerations, and skull fractures. Most of the cases the children were injured after falling down stairs in the walker, with more serious injuries occurring when infants fell more than 10 stairs," researchers said. But over 90 percent of walker accidents are not considered severe sufficient to come to the attention of the physician, although they may cause wide anxiety and guilt in the parents," added members of the Injury Prevention Committee of the Canadian Pediatrics Society.

In spite of these hazards, walkers are very popular they are used in 80 to 90 percent of households and parents buy more than three million a year. Now over 80 percent of babies between 5 and 10 months of age use walkers. Seventy-five percent of parents bought the device to keep their kids quiet and happy. Unfortunately, that has not been the case as the high accident toll from walker’s shows. In 1984, 24,000 children were injured in walkers according to the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). That grim scenario hasn't changed. In 1991, 29,000 children sustained fractures, concussions, dislocations, and other injuries as a result of walkers. In 1993, hospital emergency departments treated 25,000 infants injured in walkers. Most of those injuries came from falls down stairs. In 1993 11 infants died in walker-related accidents and 42 percent of babies under age two who were injured in walkers suffered serious head wounds. So every parent should think before bought a walker.

Drop In Saudi's Vacation Trips

The travel and tourism industry is facing a crisis of illness and recession, as there is a huge drop in the number of Saudi families taking vacation trips. Airlines and travel industry experts also have reported a significant drop in the number of Saudi families taking vacation. They say the drop is because of the swine flu and the global economic meltdown.

Saudis are worried about being effected by swine flu. In religious aspects, people are told nothing that avoids traveling. Hadiths are being quoted, which basically indicate that in times of epidemic, people should stay wherever they are and that they should desist from traveling.

Other travel agents say that it not only the Swine flu but also the economic downturn that is avoiding people to go for vacation. Global meltdown might not have affected the high-end Saudis but the middle-income Saudis and the government employees have been affected which made them to put off their travel plans for at least one year.

Many Saudis postponed their travel plans but some airlines have reported a 25 percent jump in outbound traffic. Some private-sector projects are on hold and a huge number of workers from other countries are either laid off or have been given a one-way ticket to their home countries. They are given a 6-month leave without any pay. This naturally increased the outbound traffic for airlines.

Running marathons for fitness

Did you ever try watching a running-race video in slow motion? If you ever get a chance, I suggest you to have a look at it. You can see the style and technique used by each runner, to run skillfully and swiftly.

It is quite different in case of marathons. A big group of people running together for miles - as an event – is really worth watching. But many of these people don’t turn up with proper practice and that is why they quit in middle of the marathon. So, what is the big deal in trying to run such long distances, once a year?

Marathons do serve as a reminder to people that they can stay fit with a simple exercise called running. But people don’t seem to take care of the inner meaning in it, and just keep running for pleasure.

Running requires motivation, little skill and moreover a considerable amount of practice. With all these preparations, marathons can be a real fun.

I Like to Grow Flowers in My Garden

Many people like to grow flowers in the garden, like me. Few people grow flowers in the garden to enjoy, pick, and give them away to their friends on their birthdays or funerals. Many types of flowers are indigenous to the land of America or in my home. I love to grow these flowers in the garden and it requires less effort to do so. First, decide which kind of flowers you want to grow in your garden based on different varieties available. Study about the flower plants like which climate is suited for them to grow better, what kind disease affects those plants, etc.

Some fulfill their desire of growing the flowers by starting a nursery with many varieties. You can grow nice and beautiful flowers in your garden that are available in nursery with some care and effort. Flowers from your garden smells and look good than growing them in a nursery.

Newer Hotels Go On For Discounts amid Recession

Planning for a tour outside your place and don’t know where to get best deals of hotel accommodation? It is quite easy. Choose the newest hotels around the area. Simple!

If you don’t believe that it is as simple as choosing a new hotel, then I must explain this to you.

With the latest recession invasion over the spending trends of the consumers, many industries are suffering a lot. And even the hospitality industry is one of them. So even big and famous hotels are finding it hard to do good business, and the situation with the new hotels is even bad. In order to cope up with it, the newly opened hotels are not hesitating to give good amount of bargains and deals to their consumers. But they are not reducing their facilities and services with the reduced prices. This helps them to impress their customers and increase their business.

This strategy works better than those publicity campaigns, which include big celebrities and advertisements in famous magazines.

Global Travel Industry to Face More Bad Times

The global travel industry has been hit hard by the recession and economic turmoil globally. But this is not going to stop here. There are still bad times ahead for the industry ahead.

According to the travel trends report of ITB world, 2009 will be the year of stagnation for travel industry globally. The bad times which started and are going on for the travel industry are going to stay for at least two more years ahead.

The recovery might take a little time, and also depends upon the region. The ITB report said that for Asian-Pacific and South American regions, the recession may impact only till the end of this year. Europe would might also do well, but not as much as the above two regions.

The nations which are not entirely dependent on travel industry might not bother much about it because it is just some additional income. But for the nations which mostly depend on this industry, it would be tougher times.

Culpa Innata: Another Geeky Video Game

It is not shocking to find that video games can be geeky. If you can compare between actions packed violence video games with strategic based games, you can know what geeky video games are.

Geeky video games, as they sound, need very much mental effort, compared to other games (where you find a guy with his gun firing uselessly over everything he comes across).

Culpa Innata is one of these games where you can enjoy it to full extent only of you are ready for some mental exercise.

The game has many good features like full 3D version game environment, story based on 21st century, etc. What is great here is that you will come across a nation named World Union, which comprises some of the of world’s present leading nations like America, Europe, Australia & Japan.

It is like tying a cat and mouse at their tails and producing entertainment from it.

Marrying Americans: Popular Way To Acquire Green Card

It is a fact that US is the top residency place where people from all over the world wish to settle. More and more number of people come to US every year and many of those get a green card and settle permanently.

If people are coming, its OK. They want to work in US, extremely fine as they are gong to increase the revenue of the nation. But giving a permanent residence to all of those is never admirable; especially in the nation like US, with a good ruling stature but very fragile and sensitive society.

But acquiring a Green card has become so easy for many of foreign nationals. It is as simple as getting married to some US national. It is estimated that more than 2.3 million foreign nationals have secured a lawful permanent resident stature, in this manner.

It is again OK if you like to marry a US national because you like him or love him/her. But it is really bad if you do that just because you want to be in US.

Fun Facts about Arkansas

Arkansas is the one of the states of America. It stands at 27th place by occupying an area around 50,200 square miles.

Last month I visited Arkansas along with my friends. This was a great experience with many things and I want to share some of those.

It possesses the wide variety of minerals. The state produces three major minerals such as Petroleum, natural gas, and bromine. It also stands in first place in production of bromine.

In the past times, it is the state to produce apples in huge quantities. Arkansas is the only state which produces more production of bauxite. This state is equally distributed between lowlands and high lands.

Arkansas is also acknowledged as hot water state. The temperature in Arkansas is medium; it lies between 40 to 50 degrees. It is the place with seven national parks.

This is one of the best tourism places where most of the people visit to see the hot springs, national parks, etc,

Avoiding the Risks of Passive Smoking

It is estimated that smoking costs the nation about $167 billions including excess medical bills and productivity losses.

I am not interested in asking people to stop smoking by explaining them the bad effects and all that stuff. It’s your life. You smoke, you enjoy, you cough, and you die. But dear responsible citizen, why are you risking the health of that poor guy beside you who hasn’t smoked through all his good life?

Passive smoking in 1990s was estimated to be in third place among preventable death causes. The two preceding causes were active smoking and alcoholism. Passive smoking risks people to more extent than active smoking because they breathe the smoke in compared to the smokers who exhale it.

They have introduced Nicotine gums, which give the same pleasure of smoking lessening the passive smoking risks. They even help people to get rid of the smoking habit.

Pontiac G8 Is One of the Flop Car from General Motors

The G8 is a rear-wheel-drive car. Eventhough it looks better, smooth and muscular, with an unmistakably Pontiac nose. But the interior the car is not as comfortable compared to the G6 models.

The Pontiac is also eye catching style and reasonably priced. The active panel backdrop matches the piping on the seats and the seat belts. There’s an allegiance plaque on the dash board waiting for your name to be emblazoned. Before the release of this car there is a huge expectation because of the success of G6 model in the market.

When it is released many of the customers rushed into the office but, only a few have bought this car. This car is failed because of the heavy competition in market. It has failed to meet the necessities of the market. So it is the time for Pontiac to learn from failures, and not to repeat its failures.

Pterosaurs - The Sky Dinosaurs

Pterosaurs- this bird had all that required to live dynamically in the mighty age of Jurassic. It had power to fly. But it is not just flying that made it great. It could fly with its huge body and recent findings say that it is bigger than a car.

So imagine hunting people, flying in front of you with its big wings and deadly nose. And the picture you see resembles Pterosaurs.

Pterosaurs though not classified into dinosaur’s class, are a kind of vertebrate reptiles. It is very hard to imagine any of our ostriches (the largest living birds) to fly in air with such dynamism and momentum. The best known air hunters are hawks. So it is easy it think of a giant hawk swooping down the ground and carrying away some dolphin sized animal.

But there is one thing against it. It didn’t have teeth to support eating big dinosaurs and its size was very small compared to the size of dinosaurs.

Dealing with Difficult Relatives Is Possible

Every one of us bears difficulty with relatives at least once in our lives. Dealing with them is not a simplified process. Difficult relatives are those who image themselves as the owner of your house and dominate you in every thing when they are present even at your place and much more.

There are few steps which are needed to be followed to overcome the issues of managing difficult relatives. Limits for such difficult persons should be determined first and make them aware of that.

Some of the relatives use guilt as their weapon for avoiding the limits and this situation can be easily overcome. Whenever relatives try to manipulate your emotions just make them feel guilty, this makes them to shut there mouth and acts with their limits.

If they refuse to change their behavior it is better to re-thinking on your relationship with them. If you feel like making a decision whether to continue them as your relatives or not but discuss this issue with your family before deciding.

Quantum Of Solace Is Set To Box Office Records

The recent release of Quantum of Solace is creating records at the box office. The end of 'Casino Royale' was sort of a beginning of a story, as opposed to the end of one. It has collected more than $160 billions in first week. And it is going to crossover the collections of previous bond films. One of the reasons for the movie success at the box-office is there is huge expectations on the movie before its release.

The action sequences, which were shot by Dan Bradley are fantastic and mind blowing. The film is directed well by Marc Forster. As a Bond fan, I have enjoyed a lot. This is a must watch movie for everyone. This is the biggest hit of all James bond films.

In the movie the highlight scene is hero’s introduction by chasing cars; this was awesome. The opening day of the movie created records in collecting the doubled amount what Casino Royal has collected.

What Is The Position Of Horror In Video Games?

I like horror video games rather than horror movies. Horror movies really have not much interesting on their side, but video games at least have some entertainment packaged in them.

And when you look at video games of “survival horror” they give you best entertainment and thrill that even a well featured action game won’t give you.

Resident Evil is the best and the most popular game in this category. All you need to enjoy these games is to avoid getting over involved. Thus you can deprive yourself from effecting by these games adversely.

The worst of the horror games I ever played is The House of the Dead, where all you kill all those Zombies, marching towards you, with a small and silly pistol. All you need to do in this game is shoot, shoot and shoot. And let the computer do the rest of the work. Of course all games have almost similar plot.

112 Year Old Witness of WWI Recalls His Experience

Only four of them are remaining as a witness of a severe conflict in which almost a million of British lost their lives; and he is one of them. He is the oldest living European and also the oldest living veteran of world war one.

He is now nearly blind and almost deaf at the age of 112 years, cannot move from a place to another without aid of a wheel chair. But his memory is so strong and so is his loyalty towards the country. He remembers those days of war and their spirit that held them to take over their enemy in spite of their comrades dying one-by-one.

Mr. Henry Allingham is the longest lived veteran of British World War I. He along with other two of the survivors, he paid tribute to the veterans who sacrificed their life in the war.

Ceremonies have been celebrated world wide commemorating 90th anniversary of the end of World War I.

US Doesn't Like To Risk Afghan Civilians Life

US military is still not well settled in Afghanistan. There is always some issue or the other everyday pushing US away from complete hold on the country. The main concern is with the Taliban militants still prevailing in good numbers in the country.

Though US military is striking on the possible hide outs of these militants, it is the Afghan civilians who are suffering a lot rather than the militants. And every time US army kills some Afghan civilians, they blame it on the militants on hiding near civilians. Recently they strike on some wedding party with a fighter aircraft in the process of taking down some Taliban militants. This claimed lives of 37 civilians and 26 insurgents. The US army says that civilians were to leave that place but insurgents forced them not to leave thus killing several innocent civilians along with them.

We are also well aware of August 2002 attack which killed around 90 civilians. This time US army said that it won’t attack on insurgents if they are using civilian buildings for cover.

Can nuclear dumps create mutation?

Nuclear material possesses such high levels of radiation that they can change the DNA of any living organism. This is generally termed as mutation.

It is the nuclear dumps that possess radio active substances, which leads to mutation. One thing I must say, mutation doesn’t turn humans to super heroes as they show it in Hollywood movies. They don’t turn ordinary humans to people with extraordinary powers. It is quite drastic on how radioactive decay effects environment. People with high levels of radiation die soon. But those exposed to low levels have to suffer a lot before thy die. Generally, radioactivity is said to cause cancer.

Generally nuclear wastage is dumped under deep oceans, which has caused mutation of many species ranging from big fishes to micro bacteria. Even nuclear bombs are said to be the sources of nuclear dumps. It is the nuclear decay after bombardment of nuclear bombs that makes them more dangerous.

How Far Contract Recruiting can be relied on?

Contract recruiting is buzzing these days. Many firms are going to these recruiting firms and thus saving lots of money, time, and effort. Contract recruiting also helps firms to find right persons for the jobs. This process is very effective with many hi tech recruiters available these days helping you in recruitment process and allowing you to just concentrate on business.

We know that there are many unemployed people, waiting for right jobs. It is obvious that when you announce for a job vacancy, there will be many people coming to attend for the interview. This makes the recruiting process a little complicated. You have to choose right person among them. There are many possibilities that you may end up in a wrong choice after a hefty recruiting process. A wrong choice obviously affects your business negatively. Therefore, you can leave the work on a professional contract recruiter.

However, not all recruiters are reliable. There are many firms, which do not prove to be competent recruiters.

Why do we enjoy watching movie clips?

We are in the world of cut-throat competition and don’t find time to spend our valuable time on the hobbies that we were crazy about some time ago in our childhood days. Even then few of us make time to work on those hobbies and it’s the same case about one of my friends who had the hobby of collecting movie clips. It looks a bit strange to listen that he had a hobby of collecting movie clips. But any way it’s just a hobby and every one has their own crazy hobbies. Hobby is one thing where we do some thing really crazy about and become experts in that.

Coming back to my friend’s hobby of collecting movies clips, though he was collecting only the movies clips there is some thing special about his collection. The specialty in his collection was that he had a collection of about 2500 movie clips which are totally based on the ways of mesmerizing people and attract them. It’s not only made him to have a huge collection of the movie clips but also he became expert in that to mesmerize people with his words. And after completing his education, he took it as a profession to entertain the people around the world. Not only had that he also trained some people who were interested in that profession by setting up a training school.

The lesson we get from this story is that if we work on our strengths we will definitely get the success what ever may be the profession we choose. There may be cases where people find our work some thing crazy or different but when we get success then they are the people who will appreciate us for the success. Even I started collecting the video clips and that became my hobby too…

Causes of Tailgating

Tailgating is the practice of driving on a road too closely behind another vehicle, such as less than the travel distance in two seconds or, equivalently, one vehicle-length for every 8 km/h (5 mph) of the current speed.

Major Causes
There can be several reasons for tailgating:
  • A driver traveling at a higher speed reaches a car traveling in the same direction at a lower speed, and the faster driver may tailgate while awaiting the first opportunity to overtake. Such expressions of impatience may be conscious, unconscious, and/or dangerous.
  • In its worst form, it can be a particularly virulent form of road rage and a form of intimidation. This is where the tailgating driver can threaten damage to the leading vehicle and its occupants by driving aggressively to encourage the leading vehicle's driver to do something to placate the tailgater. However, it can also be dangerous to the tailgater as well, especially if he or she is driving closely behind a large vehicle. If the leading vehicle decelerates suddenly the tailgater has a high risk of causing a rear-end collision.
  • Tailgating can also occur because of a lack of perceived risk in so doing. Thus, it is done unconsciously or negligently, very often by people who consider themselves safe drivers and generally obey the other rules of the road. Approximately one third of rear-end collisions involve tailgating.
  • A form of deliberate tailgating known as "draft-assisted forced stop" or "draft-assisted forced auto stop" (D-FAS) is a technique which has been used by people known as hyper milers to achieve greater fuel economy. D-FAS involve turning off the engine and gliding in neutral while tailgating a larger vehicle, in order to take advantage of the reduced wind resistance in its immediate wake. Note that this practice is highly dangerous: while tailgating itself is inherently risky, the danger of collision is increased with D-FAS as power for power brakes can be lost after a few applications of the brake pedal and, with older cars, the pressure that causes power steering to function can be lost as well
  • There are cycling disciplines in which the cyclist pedals around the velodrome track tailgating a motorbike that removes air resistance, enabling much higher speeds than in normal cycling. The most popular discipline is Japanese keirin.

Being Different vs. Competitive Differentiation

What is the difference in Creating Need and Differentiation? Creating Need is about identifying additional problems that your solution can address in order to increase the opportunity size. Differentiation is the application of need creation to set you apart from the competition, as seen by the customer or prospect.

"Differentiation is one of the key requirements of the successful sales person," says Kevin Temple, President of Value Vision Associates, creators of the Value Selling framework.

As in Creating Need, the Science of Differentiation requires the seller to uncover additional problems, but in this case, problems that only you can solve, or can solve better than other solutions. Here's an example: Let's say you sell an accounting software package, and as you can imagine, there are lots of accounting solutions out there. You are facing a lot of competition on several opportunities, but it turns out that you are the only vendor that can also implement the software for the customer. The competition requires that the customer complete their own installation.

Without thinking this through, most sales people would tell the customer that they are the only solution that can install the software, and in some cases that might be enough to get some of the business. Unfortunately, that may not be enough to get every prospects attention. Instead, we suggest probing for a few problems that installation services can address as a solution:
  • What time line is the prospect facing?
  • Do they have enough staff to get everything done?
  • Do they have too many things to get done?
When the customer answers any or all of these with any indication of pressure, now you have created need that only you can solve.

Being Different and Differentiation
So what's the difference between "being different" and differentiation"?

It is a matter of vantage point. "Being different" is a tally of unique capabilities that sets you apart from your competition, from your viewpoint. "Differentiation" is the process that sets you apart from the competition as seen by the customer or prospect. You could be different on 20 categories, but if your prospect only cares about one of the categories, then you really only have one "differentiator" that counts! The objective is to develop the propect's interest in your unique capabilities where they are relevant to the prospect personally.

Synergy

Synergy from the Greek syn-ergo, meaning working together, circa 1660 pp refers to the phenomenon in which two or more discrete influences or agents acting together create an effect greater than that predicted by knowing only the separate effects of the individual agents. It is originally a scientific term. St. Paul used the word in his Epistles (Rom. 8:28; 1 Cor. 3:9) to illustrate a dynamic conception of human, divine and cosmic cooperation.

Often the prediction is the sum of the effects that each is able to create independently. The opposite of synergy is antagonism, the phenomenon where two agents in combination have an overall effect that is less than that predicted from their individual effects. Synergism stems from the 1657 theological doctrine that humans will cooperate with the Divine Grace in regeneration. The term began to be used in the broader, non-theological, sense by 1925. Synergy can also mean:
  • A mutually advantageous conjunction where the whole is greater than the sum of the parts.
  • A dynamic state in which combined action is favored over the sum of individual component actions.
  • Behavior of whole systems unpredicted by the behavior of their parts taken separately. More accurately known as emergent behavior
Synergy in the Media
Synergy in media economics is the promotion and sale of a product throughout the various subsidiaries of a media conglomerate. Walt Disney pioneered synergistic marketing techniques in the 1930s by granting dozens of firms the right to use his Mickey Mouse character in products and ads, and continued to market Disney media through licensing arrangements. These products can help advertise the film itself and thus help to increase the film's sales. For example, the Spider-Man films had toys of webshooters and figures of the characters made, as well as posters and games.

Search Engine Marketing (SEM) Techniques

Though the method of Professional SEO helps to launch your website into the top of the listings for all of your most relevant search terms. Here is the information about why search engine marketing (SEM) is useful for the website and some of the SEM techniques are discussed below.
  • Search engine marketing is the most direct marketing channel on the Internet.
  • Search engine marketing generates more leads than any other form of direct marketing, because search advertising tends to generate more interest than sponsored advertising or banner advertising.
  • Searching generates more leads than advertisements, because consumers are more likely to turn to a search engine for the products and services they seek, rather than hoping to be lucky with a poorly placed advertisement.
  • Search marketing also tends to generate the cheapest possible cost per response offered by e-mail and banner ad advertising.
  • Because so few have realized the potential of search engine marketing, the search engine environment is not very competitive, making now a great time to get in on the market before interest in SEM begins to build.
  • Nearly two thirds of all search engine advertisers claim that using outside search engine marketer through Internet marketing research companies is more effective than when using in house search engine marketer.
  • Because search engine algorithms and requirements are becoming more complex over time, professional assistance is necessary to contribute the necessary tools, knowledge and time in order to stay ahead of the pack
As the Search engine marketing is the most cost effective marketing channel on the entire Internet. So it should be used carefully for better results.

Types of Customer Relationship Management

Operational CRM provides support to "front office" business processes, including sales, marketing and service. Each interaction with a customer is generally added to a customer's contact history, and staff can retrieve information on customers from the database when necessary.

One of the main benefits of this contact history is that customers can interact with different people or different contact channels in a company over time without having to describe the history of their interaction each time. Consequently, many call centers use some kind of CRM software to support their call center agents.

Operational CRM processes customer data for a variety of purposes:
  • Managing Campaigns
  • Enterprise Marketing Automation
  • Sales Force Automation
Analytical CRM
Analytical CRM analyzes customer data for a variety of purposes:
  • Design and execution of targeted marketing campaigns to optimize marketing effectiveness
  • Design and execution of specific customer campaigns, including customer acquisition, cross-selling, up-selling, retention
  • Analysis of customer behavior to aid product and service decision making (e.g. pricing, new product development etc.)
  • Management decisions, e.g. financial forecasting and customer profitability analysis.
  • Prediction of the probability of customer defection
  • Analytical CRM generally makes heavy use of data mining.
Collaborative CRM
The function of the Customer Interaction System or Collaborative Customer Relationship Management is to coordinate the multi-channel service and support given to the customer by providing the infrastructure for responsive and effective support to customer issues, questions, complaints, etc.

Collaborative CRM aims to get various departments within a business, such as sales, technical support and marketing, to share the useful information that they collect from interactions with customers. Feedback from a technical support center, for example, could be used to inform marketing staffers about specific services and features requested by customers. Collaborative CRM's ultimate goal is to use information collected from all departments to improve the quality of customer service.

Geographic CRM
Geographic CRM (GCRM) is a customer relation management information system, which collaborates geographic information system and traditional CRM.

GCRM combines data collected from route of movement, types of residence, ambient trading areas and other customer and marketing information which are matched with relevant road conditions, building formations, and a floating population. Such data are conformed to a map and is regionally analyzed with OLAP for visualization. This enables a company to examine potential customers and manage existing customers in the region.

Martial arts

Martial arts are systems of codified practices and traditions of training for combat. Though studied for various reasons, broadly speaking, martial arts share a single objective: to defeat a person physically or to defend oneself from physical threat. Some martial arts are linked to spiritual or religious beliefs/philosophies such as Buddhism, Daoism or Shinto while others have their own spiritual/non-spiritual code of honour.
Martial arts are commonly associated with East Asian cultures, but are by no means unique to Asia. Throughout Europe there was an extensive system of combat martial arts, collectively referred to as Historical European martial arts, that existed until modern times and is now being reconstructed by several organizations while Savate is a French kicking style developed by sailors and street fighters. In the Americas Native Americans have a tradition of open-handed martial arts, that includes wrestling and Hawaiians have historically practiced arts featuring small and large joint manipulation, a mix of origins occur in the athletic movements of Capoeira that was created in Brazil by slaves, based on skills brought with them from Africa.
While each style has unique facets that make it different from other martial arts, a common characteristic is the systemization of fighting techniques. Methods of training vary and may include sparring or forms (kata), which are sets or routines of techniques that are performed alone, or sometimes with a partner, and which are especially common in the Asian and Asian-derived martial arts.
The word 'martial' derives from the name of Mars, the Roman god of war. The term 'Martial Arts' literally means arts of Mars. This term comes from 15th century Europeans who were referring to their own fighting arts that are today known as Historical European martial arts. A practitioner of martial arts is referred to as a martial artist.

History of Mass media

Mass media is a term used to denote a section of the media specifically envisioned and designed to reach a very large audience such as the population of a nation state. It was coined in the 1920s with the advent of nationwide radio networks, mass-circulation newspapers and magazines, although mass media was present centuries before the term became common. The term public media has a similar meaning: it is the sum of the public mass distributors of news and entertainment across mediums such as newspapers, television, radio, broadcasting, which require union membership in large markets such as Newspaper Guild and AFTRA, & text publishers. The concept of mass media is complicated in some Internet media as now individuals have a means of potential exposure on a scale comparable to what was previously restricted to select group of mass media producers. These Internet media can include television, personal web pages, podcasts and blogs. The communications audience has been viewed by some commentators as forming a mass society with special characteristics, notably atomization or lack of social connections, which render it especially susceptible to the influence of modern mass-media techniques such as advertising and propaganda. The term "MSM" or "mainstream media" has been widely used in the blogosphere in discussion of the mass media and media bias.

History of Mass Media
Types of drama in numerous cultures were probably the first mass media, going back into the Ancient World. The first dated printed book known is the "Diamond Sutra", printed in China in 868 AD, although it is clear that books were printed earlier. Movable clay type was invented in 1041 in China. However, due to the slow spread of literacy to the masses in China, and the relatively high cost of paper there, the earliest printed mass medium was probably European popular prints from about 1400. Although these were produced in huge numbers, very few early examples survive, and even most known to be printed before about 1600 have not survived. Johannes Gutenberg printed the first book on a printing press with movable type in 1453. This invention transformed the way the world received printed materials, although books remained too expensive really to be called a mass medium for at least a century after that. Newspapers developed around from 1612, with the first example in English in 1620; but they took until the nineteenth century to reach a mass-audience directly. During the 20th century, the growth of mass media was driven by technology that allowed the massive duplication of material. Physical duplication technologies such as printing, record pressing and film duplication allowed the duplication of books, newspapers and movies at low prices to huge audiences. Radio and television allowed the electronic duplication of information for the first time.

Mass media had the economics of linear replication: a single work could make money proportional to the number of copies sold, and as volumes went up, units costs went down, increasing profit margins further. Vast fortunes were to be made in mass media. In a democratic society, independent media serve to educate the public/electorate about issues regarding government and corporate entities.

American civil rights Movement

Prominent African American politicians, entertainers and activists pushed for civil rights throughout the twentieth century, quite noticeably during the 1930s and 1940s with noted allies including First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt, who facilitated singer Marian Anderson's famous 1939 Easter concert when segregated venues would not accommodate her. Activists, particularly A. Philip Randolph agitated for civil rights throughout the Great Depression and World War II years, organizing protest marches and seeking government concessions. The efforts of civil rights activists began to bear fruit with the issuance of wartime Executive Order 8802, signed by President Franklin D. Roosevelt on June 25, 1941 to prohibit racial discrimination in the national defense industry. Executive Order 9981 by President Harry S. Truman followed this in July 1948, which banned racial segregation in the American armed forces, and the creation of the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights in 1957. The 1950s and 1960s saw the peaking of the American Civil Rights Movement and the desegregation of schools under the 1954 Supreme Court case Brown v. Board and the organizing of widespread protests across the nation under a younger generation of leaders. The pastor and activist Martin Luther King, Jr. was the catalyst for many nonviolent protests in the 1960s that led to the passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. This signified a change in the social acceptance of legislative racism in America and a profound increase in the number of opportunities available for people of color in the United States. While substantial gains were made in the succeeding decades through middle class advancement and public employment, black poverty and lack of education deepened in the context of de-industrialization.

Fringe benefits to the employees in US

I give the maximum benefit to my employees in the organization for their welfare. Those benefits include relocation assistance; medical, prescription, vision and dental plans; health and dependent care flexible spending accounts; retirement benefit plans; group-term life and long term care insurance plans; legal assistance plans; adoption assistance; child care benefits; and possibly other miscellaneous employee discounts. Some fringe benefits may be excluded from the employee's gross income and, therefore, are not subject to federal income tax in the United States. Some function as tax shelters.

Fringe benefits are also thought of as the costs of keeping employees other than salary. These benefit rates are typically calculated using fixed percentages that vary depending on the employee’s classification and often change from year to year. The War Labor Board coined the term “fringe benefits” during World War II to describe the various indirect benefits which industry had devised to attract and retain labor when direct wage increases were prohibited. Normally, employer provided benefits are tax-deductible to the employer and non-taxable to the employee. The exception to the general rule includes certain executive benefits. American corporations may also offer cafeteria plans to their employees. These plans would offer a menu and level of benefits for employees to choose from. In most instances, these plans are funded by both the employees and by the employer(s). The portion paid by the employees is deducted from their gross pay before federal and state taxes are applied. Some benefits would still be subject to the FICA tax, such as 401(k) and 403(b) contributions; however, health premiums, some life premiums, and contributions to flexible spending accounts are exempt from FICA.

If certain conditions are met, employer provided meals and lodging may be excluded from an employee's gross income. If meals are furnished (1) by the employer; (2) for the employer's convenience; and (3) provided on the business premises of the employer they may be excluded from the employee's gross income per Section 119(a). In addition, lodging furnished by the employer for its convenience on the business premise of the employer (which the employee is required to accept as a condition of employment) is also excluded from gross income. Importantly, section 119(a) only applies to meals or lodging furnished "in kind." Therefore, cash allowances for meals or lodging received by an employee are included in gross income.

Finding The Apartment Lease

Other than aspects like location and amenities, lease agreement is one of the most important parts of making sure to live in an apartment. It is very important to get most out of your lease agreement. You will find yourself got stuck in the apartment that is not for you with the wrong agreements you sign with. Let me share you the two ways of getting most out of the lease agreement. This is based on my personal experience when moving into a Las Vegas apartment.
The first and most important thing is that to get the best lease agreement possible. This means shopping around. Even though it is a time consuming, remember that it is an investment in your happiness. Far being away from irritation, it is very important to your happiness. Find many complexes till you meet your needs as far as location and amenities are concerned, and then compare the different lease agreements. This does means that you will have and need to read each agreement carefully. Once you have found an agreement that you like and feel sure will be tenable, you can start your move. Reading each lease agreement means more than just browsing through the document. It means that you must understand what the agreement means. After all, this is a binding contract between you and the management. Being an informed renter is your best defense against possible dangers and uncertain blocks in the future. If you don’t understand an element of the agreement, ask for clarification, but do not sign that particular line until you are sure that you understand exactly what the document spells out.

Quick Facts About Scrap Booking

Scrap booking is a popular hobby related to pasting clippings from newspapers and magazines, photos, program sheets, brochures, tickets, cloth, bookmarks, pressed flowers, drawings, ribbons and other memorabilia into handcrafted scrapbooks or albums. The earliest mention of scrapbooks was in the 16th century. By 1700, people pasted memorabilia into books, called common-place books. The word “scrapbook” came about when people pasted on blank books brightly colored “scrap”, a word used to describe newspaper articles, product labels and greeting cards.

Some of the well-known scrap bookers were Queen Victoria, Presidents Thomas Jefferson and Rutherford B. Hayes, Mark Twain and Andy Warhol. Mark Twain was very much into scrap booking. In fact he found a way to make scrapbooks self-pasting and then in 1872, he patented the self-pasting scrapbook idea and marketed it as “Mark Twain’s Patent Scrapbook”. The use of scrap booking materials like acid-free papers, stickers and other tools, started in Utah in 1976 with the Christensen family of Spanish Fork, Utah, displaying their 50 family albums at the 1980 World Conference of Record. This led the family to open the first scrapbook store “Keeping Memories Alive”.

Scrap booking is easy and anyone can do it! All you really need is a pair of scissors, paper or a book, photographs or clippings, glue and a writing pen. Many other indispensable essentials include stencils, cut-outs, stickers, stencils, die-cutters, templates, photo corners, glue erasers, wire cutters, paper needles, pliers, double-sided tape, background papers, multi-colored pens and the list goes on. A personal scrapbook is just like a story book. You can create different scrapbooks under various themes like childhood, birthdays, graduations, weddings, anniversaries, recipes, baby showers, shoes and vacations. If original photos are used in your scrapbook, it is a good idea to use translucent interleaving, which will protect the photos over time. Scrap bookers can also use photocopies of their original photos, documents and other valued items so that the originals can be kept intact. Invisible vellum tapes adhere well to photos and barely show behind sheer papers. Avoid using magnetic pages whose glue can ruin photos over time. Digital scrap booking is simply scrap booking without the glue, scissors and all the other traditional scrap booking stationery but uses the computer as a platform to design and arrange your scrapbook using digital images, layout and many other high resolution digital supplies. Scrap bookers have the option to print out their layouts to put into albums.

How To Prepare Well When Driving Abroad

When you are planning that next driving adventure abroad you will need to be aware of a number of things relating to your insurance policy and breakdown cover which may will be different than if you are driving in your home country. What exactly do you need to be aware of?

When you driving in the European countries you can use your Certificate of Motor Insurance instead of a Green Card. The Green Card is an International Motor Insurance Card and is an internationally recognized document, which indicates that, as the holder, you have the minimum insurance cover required by law in the country you are visiting. A green card is not required for driving in the EU, Iceland, Norway, Switzerland, Croatia or Liechtenstein. If you are planning to take your car to Europe for more than 90 days then you should let your insurance company know well in advance so that the relevant paperwork can be made ready.

In the UK most insurance companies will cover you for a specific number of European countries that are part of the European Union (EU). These countries are: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden. You are also covered for the following non-EU countries:

Most insurance companies are happy to provide a specific breakdown cover policy for the duration of you trip abroad. This is recommended, as it will include things such as an English-speaking phone line to help get breakdown rescue help. It may also include a vehicle replacement, which can let you get on with your holiday.

Once you plan your holiday abroad you should contact your insurance company as soon as you know your full plans. That way they can also advise you on any other things, which you may not have considered and they can get all the necessary paperwork, sorted for your departure.

Roommate Living Arrangements

Those who consider moving into San Diego apartment have more than likely given thought to the possibility of finding roommates who can share the economic responsibility coupled with their rental, along with the day-to-day company that comes with co-habitation. If you have decided on a roommate or roommates you may have come to a point where you are ready to discuss the terms of your living arrangement. Handling these initial negotiations can mean the difference between comfortable situations with built-in open communication and a difficult situation that can quickly spiral out of control.

It is of the very importance to have such discussions prior to moving to an apartment. A formal meet should be set up before signing any lease to give everyone an opportunity to voice their expectations for the living arrangement, including the unique need of each and every roommate including policies on noise, visitors to the apartment, and the like.

Just as important the clear division of labor and finances should be outlined in detail before to moving to an apartment. Such considerations should include the payment of rent, utilities, and miscellaneous expenses associated with apartment living, food responsibilities, and even cleaning arrangements. Leave no stone unturned when it comes to discussing all areas that could affect moving to an apartment. The more you discuss, the better your chances at long-term peaceful living.

Apartment Selection Tips

There are three basic things that one needs to consider when searching for a new apartment. Good surroundings, good physical structure and the management. I am not the expert in this field but, I have some knowledge on this. In the last summer when I was moving to Orlando I personally experienced how easy it is to find a new apartment among numerous Orlando apartments. It just needs a proper planning and predetermined priorities according to our needs.

Coming to main issue that I am talking about, the first important thing we need to have in the apartment is some positive signs in the apartment physical structure. Room structure and space are to be comfortable enough for living as per the number of members in your family. Accordingly see if you can find separate dining and kitchen rooms. Monitor every apartment’s number of bedrooms, bathrooms, their sizes. See if you have enough parking place for your motor vehicles to park and move them. The security aspect should always be the primary priority. Next thing is about the management. How friendly they are to your problems and how quickly they can solve them. Or they insist on every aspect of your usage of the property. All these knowledge cannot be obtained without a research with at least couple or three tenants nearby.

I hope the above tips help you finding a good apartment for you to live comfortably and happily. I wish you all the best!!!!

Research Before Stepping into an Apartment

Research is a part of the process of finding an Atlanta apartment. Knowing where you want to live - whether you are new to city or you have grown up there, taking time to research and explore different neighborhoods will help you decide where to look. Even if you think you know all about a city, it would not hurt to check out some new areas — you might be pleasantly surprised by some neighborhoods. Hype and reputation can become outdated. When walking or driving around, ask yourself what kind of environment would make you happy. Do you want a neighborhood with many young families whom you can meet? Does it have parks and a playground or one that attracts young professionals with restaurants, cafes and stores? Depending on your needs, you may also want to see if there is a supermarket, gym, Laundromat, gas station, drug store, hospitals, recreation centers, transportation facilities, etc. Also check to see whether it is easy to commute to and from your work place or not. After visiting several neighborhoods, confirm whether the apartments in the area are affordable by researching apartment listings for those areas. Gather as much information as possible. Use your network and see if you can know more from your friends and relatives. Research will definitely help you find a right apartment for you, if you have done it in planned manner.

How to Shop For a New Bed

No other furniture piece in your home is as important as your beds. A good sleep means you wake refreshed and ready to face the day. But in order to have a good sleep you must have the right bed and mattress for you. Here is how to shop for a new bed.

  • The most important thing that you should look for, while buying a bed, is the comfort. Unless and until the bed is comfortable, you won't enjoy sleeping on it. Therefore, you should always sit for a while on the bed and check if you can feel the comfort or not.
  • Don't compromise on quality, even if you have to pay little extra money. Do a complete homework and then go about shopping for a bed.
  • As important is the mattress in ensuring comfort, equally vital is the frame of bed. These days, you can find beds, the frames of which are specially designed to provide support to the box spring and mattress. The quintessence of a comfortable bed lies in its firm foundation.
It's a good practice to go through the reviews about the bed that you are planning to buy. If you are suffering from some physical health ailment, you should consult your doctor regarding the kind of bed he/she recommends. It is especially vital for people suffering from spine problem, because they require bed that can provide support to their back.

Parameters to consider for displaying Jewelry

I would like to share my views on displaying Jewelry in stores. I found some parameters to consider for Jewelry display.

The following are the features on displaying Jewellery:

  • Visibility of the Jewelry on display.
  • Portability of the display.
  • Number of pairs the display can hold.
  • Durability, if the Jewelry display will be traveling to shows.
  • Stability in a stiff breeze, if displaying in outdoors, size of the display, and amount of footprint it takes up on the table.
  • Ease of getting on and off their display.
  • Organizing by color or style ability to make prices known, ability to display near pieces they match (for add-on selling).
